Co Fall 2026: Golden State
The sun shone brightly on Stephanie Danan's big day in Paris, as she unveiled her brand's fall collection with a runway show overlooking the Tuileries Garden. It was a momentous occasion for the label's founder and creative director, who had built the brand from scratch 15 years ago.
Danan, who recently relocated from Los Angeles to the French capital, is making waves in the European fashion scene. Her minimal-chic collection features elevated staples like utilitarian gray flannel shirt jackets and skirts, barrel-leg black leather pants, and buttery suede separates.
"I've been evolving towards a more wardrobe-friendly approach, but always with a unique twist," Danan explained. "There's so much wardrobing out there, so I ask myself: how can I make a woman feel incredible?"
Drawing inspiration from Donna Karan, Danan's designs blend '80s influences with modern silhouettes. She showcased shawl-collared suede jackets paired with loose pleated pants and draped jersey bodysuits, some even verging on the ludicrously capacious, reminiscent of fashion icon Pierre Cardin.
However, it was her sensuous jersey dresses with plunging necklines, paired with elongated suit jackets, that truly stood out. These pieces evoked the style of the late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, making them a standout in the collection.
With the support of Paul Marciano, Danan aims to establish a strong retail presence in Europe. Her polished debut collection suggests a bright future for the brand, leaving a lasting impression on the fashion world.
